With a production of about 7 hectares, located in Monforte d’Alba, Bussia San Giovanni MGA appellation, we carefully cultivate our autochthonous vines, including Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto.
We uphold the use of common sense in the vineyard and cellar, applying sensible agriculture respecting people, our region and the products. We achieve high quality for our wines through a careful selection of grape bunches and through processing based on natural principles, complying with the methods and timing required. We make wines that reflect the identity of our area, with strong complexity, freshness, elegance and longevity.

This is our slogan, our creed: utmost care and respect for the vineyard where we mainly carry out manual work, keeping every plant in healthy conditions.
Through careful product selection and manual harvesting, we only bring high quality grapes to the winery. Winemaking of short/medium duration at controlled temperatures to obtain fine wines while keeping their typical features. Ageing is carried out in small oak barrels.

Gianfranco's first tastings
Our family and wine story began with Gianfranco’s parents: Giuseppe and Vittorina. Since they were young, they have been working the fields they owned for about 4ha, they cultivated vines, hazelnuts and fruit. Thanks to their commitment and remarkable sacrifices, we are lucky today because we still work our fields.

The grape harvest
In 1986, after his father’s death, Gianfranco, first supported by his mother and later by his wife Bruna, he chose to undertake this journey, giving life and shaping what his family started over the past years. Enthusiasm, exchanging ideas and sharing between winegrowers in the area brought more awareness and knowledge about our area and products. Thanks to improved skills in the vineyard and the introduction of technology in the cellar during the production process, Gianfranco expanded production, and handed his curiosity and passion down to his daughters Vittoria and Marta.

One of the best things about wine is the people and these guys are some of the best. @az.agr_gianfrancoalessandria - Gianfranco, Marta, Vittoria and Bruna embody family, passion and hospitality. When we started importing them to Australia both daughters were kids but now they run the show, so incredibly capable and talented. No surprise knowing their Mum and Dad. Beautiful people the lot of them and we’re proud to call them friends and see their wines get better and better every year. If you’ve never tried their Baroli or other wines, do yourself a favour. Better quality and value is hard to find in the region.
